The process of winning of Raw Magnesite involves,
- Selection and preparation of Site
- Drilling
- Blasting
- Picking, dressing, sorting and stacking
- Removal of reject to spoil bank
The recovery of Magnesite from blasted earth is about one in fourteen. After picking the Magnesite, the remaining reject material is removed by mechanical operation using heavy earthmoving equipment. PM&M's crude Magnesite production capacity is in the range of 75,000 to 1,00,000 tonnes. The above mined Magnesite ore is used for captive consumption for manufacturing Dead Burnt Magnesite (DBM) and Lightly Calcined Magnesite (LCM) and other products in our production divisions.
